Air Canada reaches agreement with Teamsters

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters has already reached an agreement in principle with Air Canada, the biggest passenger carrier in Canada. The agreement covers over 700 customer support representatives, reservation assistants, air cargo workers along with other employees at the company’s U.S. base of operations.

“I’m pleased with our members at Air Canada extremely,” said Capt. David Bourne, Director of the Teamsters Airline Division. “These workers were united and engaged through the entire procedure for collective bargaining, and their effort paid in a large way.”

“I’d prefer to thank the negotiating committee for several of their effort at the table,” said Bob Fisher, Airline Division International Representative. “Because of their diligent efforts, we could actually draft a collective bargaining agreement that improves compensation and working conditions for these workers while also making certain the business will maintain steadily its status because the premier passenger carrier of Canada.”
