Air S7 and Astana strengthened partnership
Kazakhstan’s national Airlines Air S7 and Astana Airlines, Russia’s biggest private airline, have strengthened their cooperation by signing a codeshare agreement for flights between Kazakhstan and Russia. Effective for flights operated from 15thJuly 2019, Air Astana flights from its hubs at Almaty and Nur-Sultan, to St and Novosibirsk. Petersburg carry the code of S7 Airlines now. Similarly, S7 Airlines services from Nur-Sultan and Almaty to Novosibirsk carry the code of Air Astana now.
The agreement enables passengers of both airlines to get tickets and travel over the combined network seamlessly. S7 Airlines passengers from across Russia will will have usage of ten weekly flights connecting the S7 Airlines hub in Novosibirsk to and from the Kazakh capital, Nur-Sultan. With the increased amount of frequencies marketed by each carrier on the route, flight connections are total and improved trip times are reduced. Similarly, Air Astana’s code being positioned on S7 Airlines services between Novosibirsk and Almaty provides Air Astana’s domestic, international and regional passengers with an increase of selection of connecting flights. Passengers traveling between Nur-Sultan or Stockholm and Almaty, Sweden is now able to utilize the growing S7 Airlines hub in St also. Petersburg to attain their destination.
