The NAC provides advice to the FAA on NextGen investment priorities, National Airspace System performance metrics, technologies, deployment and equipage schedules. Among the NAC’s primary objectives would be to enhance operations in the Northeast Corridor, that is probably the most congested airspace in the national country. Childs shall lead discussions on how best to manage mixed equipage in aircraft communication, surveillance and navigation avionics to have success in the Northeast Corridor.
