Diamond Resorts Hawaii: The fight continues with media outreach shouts
Yesterday, eturbonews published an article about workers who filed a class action lawsuit against hotel owner and operator Diamond Resorts, charging for alleged wage theft. Around 325 employees, many from UNITE HERE Local 5, from 3 hotels – THE PRESENT DAY Honolulu, Kaanapali Beach Club, and The real point at Poipu – are represented in the lawsuit.
Today, eTN was contacted by Diamond Resorts to inform its side of the complete story and react to the article’s allegations. Here, the business points from what it describes as inaccuracies:
“This led to workers not having the ability to pay bills promptly and incurring overdraft fees.”
Diamond Resorts reimbursed overdraft fees completely already.
“…announced to the Union that it could lay off the complete banquets department &hellip immediately;”

The layoffs immediately aren’t taking effect. August 15 they’ll be effective. Severance packages are increasingly being wanted to impacted employees. READ THE ENTIRE ARTICLE AT HAWAIINEWS.ONLINE.
