China’s rural tourism booming with 1.51 billion trips in first 1 / 2 of 2019
China’on Sunday said a total of just one 1 s tourism report released.51 billion rural tourist trips were made through the first 1 / 2 of 2019, a year-on-year increase of 10.2 percent.
The report premiered throughout a national work conference on rural tourism held by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. It had been convened in Chengdu, capital of Southwest China’s Sichuan province.
The total revenue through the same timeframe reached 860 billion yuan ($125 billion), in line with the report.
As of the finish, rural tourism in China had provided jobs to 8.86 million people, the report said.
