Southwest Airlines offers human trafficking awareness curriculum to all or any employees

Southwest Airlines Co. today reiterates its support of the global efforts to get rid of Human Trafficking by launching online curriculum for the airline’s a lot more than 59,000 employees made to bring greater awareness to the growing epidemic of Human Trafficking. The course has been launched today to highlight the United Nations’ World Day Against Trafficking in Persons.

Southwest Airlines partnered with Polaris, a leader in the global fight to eliminate modern slavery, to generate and provide this new awareness curriculum for Employees. While Human Trafficking will not involve the movement always, traveling, or transportation of individuals, statistics claim that a lot of victims are transported via airplane during some part of their experience. Therefore, Southwest Employees are increasingly being offered a synopsis of the crime of Human Trafficking, tips about how to identify Human Trafficking, and suggested actions that needs to be taken, if necessary, to combat suspected instances.

“Southwest operates on the guiding principles of civility and looking after others with this collective Southwest Heart,” said Gary Kelly, Southwest Airlines’ Chief and chairman Executive Officer. “We have been proud to provide Human Trafficking awareness curriculum to the complete Southwest Team in order that we are able to continue our efforts to recognize any signs of Human Trafficking that may occur in your industry. This commitment further strengthens our mission to be good caretakers of the clients and communities that people serve every day.”
