Nassau Paradise Island encourages support of its neighbor to the north
While spared the impact of Hurricane Dorian, Nassau Paradise Island’s resort and tourism partners will work to aid their island neighbors to the north together.
“Our hearts venture out to Abacos and Grand Bahama and our tourism community has rallied together to attempt to change lives,” said Fred Lounsberry, ceo of the Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board. “While we’re so grateful the storm passed us without impact and we continue steadily to welcome guests, we have been equally grateful for the efforts of our partners to aid our neighbors and for everybody who loves this wonderful nation.
“Some might not recognize that The Bahamas, just like the United States, comprises of many distinctive and diverse destinations spread over a lot more than 5,000 square miles,” said Lounsberry. “However, we stand as you to support one another together.”
The Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board and its own member resorts are encouraging donations to greatly help with the relief and recovery in Abaco and Grand Bahama. These, along with other efforts amongst tourism partners will continue as Grand Abacos and Bahama rebuild.
“We wish those who continue steadily to visit Nassau Paradise Island to learn that their business and generosity means so much to the complete 700 islands, islets and cays that define The Bahamas,” said Lounsberry.
