EU incoming chief: EU ready for ‘no-deal’ Brexit
Announcing her team to lead another EU executive, Ursula von der Leyen said the bloc&rsquo will be asked by her;s current Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier to keep in his role, Reuters reported.
The next head of the EU also said another steps on Brexit are entirely in the hands of the uk. She said the EU had wanted Brexit to occur but respected Britain&rsquo never;s decision to go.
“Brexit, should it happen, is not the ultimate end of something however the beginning of our future relationship,” she said. “This relationship is wanted by me, as it has been around the past, to become a good relationship.”
