Delta Air Lines adds new Rome service from Boston’s Logan AIRPORT TERMINAL
Delta Air Lines is continuing to create on a memorable year in Boston with the announcement of new summer service between Boston and Rome, area of the airline’s 2020 plans for expanded flying from three of the airline’s hubs to 10 popular trans-Atlantic destinations.
The new flights were announced at Logan International Airport as Delta, which designated Boston as its newest hub recently, assumed operations at all gates in Logan&rsquo officially;s Terminal A, making the airline the terminal’s sole operator for the very first time because the facility opened in 2005.
“Boston is really a tremendous international city, and Delta’s ongoing investments are delivering a really world-class experience from ground to air here,” said Delta CEO Ed Bastian. “From offering more international seats out of Boston than any carrier to being the only real airline at Logan with a completely dedicated terminal, we’re continuing to create ourselves apart for customers with techniques that only Delta and our nearly 2,000 Boston-based Delta people can.”
“We have been happy with Delta’s increasing presence in Massachusetts and its own continued contributions to driving economic development and growth in the Commonwealth,” said Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker. “These new flights to and from Logan Airport shall serve Massachusetts’ growing economy well, and we turn to working together to see continued progress and development forward.”
Delta’s expanded presence in Logan Airport’s Terminal A supports the airline’s network growth in the last many years and positions it for more flying yet ahead. In 2020, Delta shall launch four new trans-Atlantic flights from Boston, including new seasonal service to Rome, the carrier’s second daily flight to Paris and new service to Manchester and London-Gatwick. The carrier will extend seasonal service between Boston and Edinburgh and Lisbon also, two popular destinations added in 2019.

Additionally, Delta has doubled its daily departures out of Boston since 2015 nearly. This month later, Delta shall launch new service to Chicago O’Hare, Ronald and newark-liberty Reagan Washington National Airport beginning Sept. 29, 2019.

Besides offering probably the most comprehensive schedule of any U.S. carrier over the Atlantic, we’ve committed to our aircraft significantly, products and service for customers traveling between your U.S. and Europe.” said Charlie Schewe, Director of Northeast Sales. “Now those investments are reflected on our larger gate footprint at Logan Airport aswell.”
Terminal A may be the only terminal at Logan to provide CLEAR and the only real airport facility with multiple club locations for an individual airline. Year to add new showers among those Delta Sky Clubs will expand significantly by early next, that will open later this fall, along with additional seating and a reimagined beverage and food area. Meanwhile, the gate areas are increasingly being refreshed with today’s appear and feel to add new carpet, new finishes and seating, and much more power. And Massport is partnering with Delta to implement a variety of new beverage and food concepts through the entire facility.

Altogether, Delta and its own partners serve a lot more than 50 destinations from Logan International, offering clients probably the most international seats with flights to around 18 international destinations.
