Habitat for Humanity Australia invites Australians to greatly help Nepal

In recognition of International Women’day s, Habitat for Humanity Australia is launching the Impact Build in Nepal, aiming to build the city of widowed women housing, water sanitation, and a means in to the society which has exiled them back. Habitat for Humanity Australia is inviting everyday people of Australia to go on a life-changing journey March 7 – 14, 2020, to create positive change to these ladies in need truly.

“Life Builders” will volunteer alongside the ladies of Nepalgunj and local construction industry workers to create ten homes over weekly commencing March 7. Habitat for Humanity Australian CEO Nicole Stanmore says “Life Builders” will play a significant role in assisting these women to create homes, communities, and empower the Nepalese women who’ve been shunned from their face and community violence, discrimination, day and poverty every.

“In the Nepalese culture, these women are believed symbols of ill omen and so are viewed as the reason for death of these husbands. That is accompanied by violence and forced evacuation of these husband&rsquo often;s house,” stated Mrs Stanmore.

“The Impact Build is focused on helping this community of women who’ve been forced right into a life of poverty and vulnerability, rebuild their lives and regain a feeling of security. Everybody deserves a good spot to live,” ended Mrs. Stanmore.

Impact Build 2020: Unite. Rebuild. Empower.

The Impact Build’s mission would be to reintroduce these women into adequate housing and back to their community. This is a three-year project, with Impact Build 2020 centered on erecting houses for these women. Year in the second, water hygiene and sanitation will undoubtedly be improved and in the 3rd, the focus will be to boost community infrastructure.

Fundraising goal: $2,500

Approximate in-country costs (including all accommodation, meals and transport): $1,000 – $1,200 twin share
